Adjuncts' 2% pay hike in June 30 paychecks

Dear Colleague: We are pleased to inform you that the University of Maine System and the Maine Part-Time Faculty Association, American Federation of Teachers Local #4593 recently ratified collective bargaining agreement provides wage increases for the contract period September 1, 2013-August 31, 2015.

The new contract includes a 2% increase to the minimum credit hour rates as of September 1, 2013. Those who are paid above minimum will receive the equivalent of 2% of the new minimum rate for their rank/placement on the PATFA service list. PATFA unit members in regular appointments will receive the equivalent of 2% of their base salary retroactive to September 1, 2013.

Retroactive pay will be available in your direct deposit account on June 30. The minimum credit hour rates will also be increased by 2% as of September 1, 2014. PATFA unit members in regular appointments will have base pay increased by 2% as of September 1, 2014.

If you have changed your address, email account, or bank information or you will be changing one or more of these before the June paycheck is released please confirm the changes have been made in MaineStreet Employee Self Service. If you need assistance with these changes please contact your campus Human Resources office.
