It's Easy to Enroll in PATFA

All adjuncts in the University of Maine System are invited to participate in PATFA. You may use a simple, one-page enrollment form, revised in October 2016. It's under the "Membership," "Join the Union" drop-down tile. The Part-time Faculty Association of Maine is part of the American Federation of Teachers and the legal bargaining agent for some 2,000 part-time faculty members. Our two-year contract provides benefits and spells out mutual rights and responsibiliites.

PATFA Membership Form

You can fill out a one-page form and join the Part-time Faculty Association of Maine (PATFA). Just print out the form, available here in pdf format, fill it out, sign it, and mail it to PATFA, Room 311, Belfast Hall, UMA-Bangor, 85 Texas Ave., Bangor ME 04401-4340. The University of Maine System will then be able to deduct membership dues in October and November for the Fall semester, and in February and March for the Spring semester.
