Act now on PATFA-related scholarships, plus $1,000 member grants

If you teach part time in the University of Maine System and are a member of PATFA, you have two union-related scholarship options for your dependent children with March 31 application deadlines. One, the Harlan Baker PATFA Scholarship, is for PATFA members only. The other is the AFT Robert G. Porter Scholars Program for high school students.

And there’s more: The Porter Program also offers 10 one-time $1,000 grants to AFT/PATFA members to assist with their continuing education and/or fund their proposed ideas to strengthen and grow their union.

Here are the details.
