Part-time faculty in the University of Maine System are working under a newly ratified contract that includes a 3 percent raise in pay for 2019-20 and 2020-21. So in this busy season, the Part-time Faculty Association (PATFA) would like to update you about these changes and more.
It’s March 2018 – just the time to apply for a PATFA professional development stipend for part-time faculty members in the University of Maine System. The Michael Burke Professional Development Fund offers small stipends to adjunct faculty who often find limited opportunities for funding.
It is named for a longtime adjunct professor who launched the fund while serving as president of the Part-time Faculty Association of Maine (PATFA), Local 4593 of the American Federation of Teachers.
